WHY ZARASYL

From Humans to Horses

Over a decade of research has gone into the patented science behind Zarasyl Equine. The silicate technology was initially designed for human skin issues but as equestrians we soon realized the benefit for our horses' delicate skin as well.

To take the frustration out of sorting out Equine skin issues

Everyone who loves and cares for horses knows how frustrating equine skin problems can be, and how challenging and expensive it can be to treat them.

High Tech science known to promote wound healing

Containing no steroids or antibiotics, we have created an FEI & race-day safe high-tech amorphous silica formula tailored to promote wound healing and overall skin health.

All Equestrians want the best for their horses

It’s no secret that horse owners want the very best for our horses, whether they’re headed to a Grand Prix, a Triple Crown race or enjoying the day turned out in a field. That's why we created Zarasyl - to help your horse feel and perform their best!

For wound care, the granulation tissue doesn’t just stay flush using Zarasyl, it stays flat and sub to the epithelium, simultaneously stimulating wound contraction and epithelialization. It’s also astonishing how quickly Zarasyl healed pastern dermatitis and stopped it from recurring even on continued turn out in Upstate NY spring.

I have an off-the-track thoroughbred in southern California. He has been learning a new trade and was recently involved in a ranch accident and wound up with multiple leg injuries. With most injuries there are a lot of remedies but these wounds had a good chance of gaining in proud flesh. I have heard amazing things about Zarasyl and its ability to fight proud flesh. I took a chance and I needed to make my decisions quickly to get ahead of the damage. I immediately started putting the Zarasyl on generously 2x a day after a cold rinse and pat drying the area. I truly believe the secret to this non-stinging cream, is it's drying capabilities. Zarasyl in my opinion, really draws the wound together, creating a nice scab while continually using its drying agent to keep proud flesh from developing. In a matter of 2 weeks, my horse went from what some would think, needed stitches (albeit too tough of an area) to a fully closed wound as well as other surrounding, closing wounds and without the discomfort of burning and stinging of most healing products. I feel very fortunate to have this product in my barn and will always have a tube on hand!
